Giveaway: Kids in the Kitchen Cooking Class!

Are your kids always in the kitchen, wanting to help you cook? Great news! This month’s LiveNewton.net giveaway comes from Kids in the Kitchen, offering fantastic kids cooking classes in Brookline.

 

LiveNewton.net is thrilled to announce our latest giveaway! Kids in the Kitchen has generously donated one summer class to a child (+ a friend of his/her choice) of one of our readers! (A parent or caregiver is welcome to stay for the session.) Classes are (2) hours and take place in August. These cooking classes are for kids ages 4-12 and are designed to introduce seasonal produce and basic cooking techniques appropriate to their developing skill level.

THE DETAILS

LiveNewton.net will select (1) winner at random this week! The parent and child can choose from one of these classes:

RED DAY August 9, 10am-12pm (ages 8-12): Kids will learn new culinary techniques as they make Bruschetta, Stuffed Peppers, and Smoothies. Kids will also discover a “mystery” food item.

CHOCOLATE DAY August 16, 10-12pm 10am-12pm (ages 4-12): This class is a hands-on way to explore the sweet and savory tastes of chocolate. Kids will create dishes such as Chocolate Ice Cream in Chocolate Bowls and Cocoa Almonds. Kids will also discover a “mystery” food item.

Classes will take place at Belize Hamilton’s home. About the two owners/cooks of Kids in the Kitchen: 

– Belize Hamilton is a half-Italian mother of three, long-distance runner, a farmer’s market enthusiast, and is incapable of turning down a French macaroon.

– Megan Buell is a mother of three, a certified teacher (PreK-12 grade), has taken numerous culinary classes, makes a mean brown butter chocolate chip cookie, and dreams of working for America’s Test Kitchen.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, please write “Enter me in the Kids in the Kitchen giveaway” on our Facebook page & TAG any friends (write “@” plus your friends’ names and they should appear in the FB post) who might also be interested in entering. One (1) winner will be selected at random from all entries this Friday at 10am.

We will have limited slots available to keep class sizes small in order to have an ideal learning environment. Parents are encouraged to leave your children in our excellent care during this class. The kids seem to be a little more at ease when they are left on their own to interact with us and create the various recipes. Classes will take place at Belize Hamilton’s home:
