City of Newton Updates Middle School Resources

Just in time for school! The City of Newton has updated and expanded their web page for Middle Schoolers.

MIDDLE SCHOOL – Out-of-School Resources

The City of Newton’s Executive Office, Health and Human Services Department and Newton Public Schools are working on promoting out-of-school time for middle schoolers. While all young people benefit from out of school time activities that help them grow and learn, middle school tends to be an age when student participation decreases. There are many ways kids this age can continue to stay involved and active.

Bookmark the City’s updated Middle School Resources webpage for now or the future. You’ll find resources for parents including:

  • A Guide to After School Programs – You’ll find program costs, descriptions and financial aid information.
  • Do-it-Yourself tips, Opportunities and Guidelines for helping children find productive ways to use their out of school time in a home-based setting
  • Financial Aid Information – Learn tips and how to apply for aid to camps, programs and activities

Please spread the word to anyone who may find this useful. In addition, the City welcomes any and all feedback on your needs and thoughts regarding the resources page. We hope you find it helpful!
